Paid traffic
Visitors you pay for by the click, the impression or the action: social ads, search ads, push, native, pops, in-app. The traffic of media buyers; fast to test, scalable, and gone the moment you stop paying.
Also called: bought traffic, media buying.
Paid traffic turns money into visitors on demand. A campaign can be live in an hour and profitable by the evening, or dead by lunch. The skill is knowing which source fits which offer and reading the numbers fast enough.
The main paid sources for affiliates: social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat), search (Google, Bing), push networks, native networks, pop and redirect networks, in-app networks, and direct buys from site owners.
