Postback
A request the network's server sends to your tracker when a conversion happens, carrying the click ID and the payout. It ties every lead back to the click, creative and placement that produced it, without cookies or pixels.
Also called: server-to-server tracking, S2S, conversion postback.
Your tracking link gives each click an ID and passes it to the network in a parameter. When the network records a conversion, it calls your postback URL with that ID. Your tracker marks the click as converted and shows revenue next to cost, per everything you tracked.
Postbacks are set up once per network. Test them with a real conversion before spending: a broken postback means optimizing blind.
