This page will be completed with the details of the legal entity once it is registered.

What we collect

• Account. When you create an account: your email, your password (stored hashed) and your answers to the short sign-up survey — whether you work solo, in a team or represent an affiliate program, your experience, the verticals you follow and whether you go to conferences.
• How you found us. When you create an account, we store the page you arrived on, the campaign tags of the link that brought you (utm parameters and ad click ids such as gclid or fbclid) and the site you came from. Only the editors see this, for statistics on which pages and campaigns bring readers.
• Newsletter. Only if you tick the separate newsletter box. It is unticked by default, and access to the site doesn’t depend on it.
• Comments and reviews. The name you give and your text are public. Your email is never published: we use it to notify you about replies and moderation.
• Wishlist and invites. The companies and pages you save. If you joined through someone’s invite link, we store who invited you, for our own statistics only.
• Forms. What you send us through the contact, suggestion, company and profile request forms.
• Usage. Page views and clicks on outbound links, counted with our own tools and with Google Analytics (see Analytics below). We don’t use third-party ad networks.

Analytics

• We count page views with our own tools on our own servers. The points below, up to the outbound clicks, describe these tools.
• We also use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It sets its own cookies (see below) and receives the address of the page, the site you came from, your device and browser type and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address. We use it only for totals on traffic and popular pages, not for advertising. Google keeps this data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics property. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies for this site.
• When a page loads, your browser sends us the page address, its type and section, and — on the first page of a visit — the domain of the site you came from (not the full address).
• Your IP address and browser user agent are used only in the server's memory, together with a random salt that changes every day and is never stored, to estimate daily unique visitors. IP addresses and these hashes are not written to our database or analytics logs.
• We keep only daily totals (views and approximate unique visitors per page and section), which can't single anyone out. Per-page totals are kept for 13 months, site-wide daily totals indefinitely.
• With Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control on, the view is counted but you are left out of unique-visitor estimates.
• Bots, including AI crawlers and link previews, and our own staff are not counted. AI crawlers are still allowed to read the site.
• Clicks on outbound links (/go/) are recorded with the company, the place of the link, the page it was on and a hash of the browser user agent.
• The sign-up survey answers are used in our publications only as totals.

Cookies and browser storage

• A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in.
• Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_KYW2J415JV cookies to tell visits apart.
• Your light or dark theme is remembered in your browser’s local storage.
• The page you arrived on and its campaign tags are kept in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab. They reach us only if you create an account.
• Videos from YouTube load only after you press play, from youtube-nocookie.com.

Emails

We email you only about things you asked for or took part in: replies and new comments on pages where you commented or left a review, the removal of your comment by moderation with the reason, and the newsletter if you subscribed. Every notification has an unsubscribe link. Companies with paid placements get a reminder before the placement ends.

Affiliate faces

The Affiliate faces catalog lists only data that people published themselves. Private contacts are shown only to signed-in members. Anyone can ask us to remove their profile; we answer within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can delete your account at any time. Write to us through contacts.

We will update this policy when the legal entity is registered and when our services change. The date of the last update is shown below.
