Messenger traffic
Visitors from messaging apps: Telegram channels and ads, WhatsApp broadcasts, Viber, Discord communities. Small, engaged audiences; ads by channel owners or through the platform's own ad system.
Also called: Telegram traffic, WhatsApp traffic, chat traffic.
Messengers took over from social feeds for a lot of people, and their channels behave like newsletters with a chat attached. Affiliates buy posts from channel owners, run Telegram Ads, or build their own channels around a topic and monetize them with offers.
The traffic is loyal and cheap to reach again, and the formats are limited: a text, a picture, a link. It works for finance, iGaming, crypto and anything with a community.
