About TrafficJunky

TrafficJunky is a web advertising company founded in 2008 in Montreal, Canada. It sells advertising on the adult tube sites it represents, including Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8, and also runs a DSP and an exchange for buyers who want to reach the same inventory programmatically.

The platform is self-serve and pre-paid, and bidding works on CPM. Placements include display banners in several sizes, top right square, header, footer, in-player and underplayer spots, full-page interstitials, static and rollover native units, in-stream and out-stream video, and popunders on desktop, mobile and tablet. Campaigns support geo-targeting, scheduling and keyword targeting, with conversion tracking by pixel or server-to-server postback, plus an API.

Ad approval follows published rules: creatives are checked against the advertising guidelines and rejected if they are misleading. Each placement lists the verticals it accepts, among them dating, cams, e-commerce, forex and financial services, male enhancement and nutra. Support answers on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 EST, and a referral programme pays a bonus in campaign credit.

TrafficJunky Review: Pornhub Ads, CPM Bidding and the Age-Verification Map

TrafficJunky sells Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8 traffic on CPM only: no CPC, an ID check before funding, a $100 minimum deposit in TJ's 2026 posts, no refunds under $50. Age-verification GEOs take SFW ads only. TJ itself puts a test at $800–$3,000 a month.

Most adult ad networks resell other people's sites. TrafficJunky sells the house: it is the advertising arm of Aylo, which owns Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8. That is the reason to use it and the thing to price in, because the owner writes the rules, and in 2026 the law writes a good part of the owner's rules.

So the question isn't whether TrafficJunky is big enough. By any of its own counts, it is. The question is how much of that volume your offer can buy: in which GEOs, formats and creatives. That depends on your vertical and your countries more than on your bid.

My one-line judgment: for adult, cam and dating offers run by a team that buys on CPM with its own tracker, TrafficJunky is the direct line to Pornhub's ad inventory. For a newcomer with $100 and a CPC habit, or an offer that needs explicit creatives in the UK or France, it sells less than the homepage suggests. Below: who runs it, how money goes in and rarely comes back, how buying works, what each vertical may run and how the age-verification map shapes all of it.

Who runs TrafficJunky and what inventory you buy

TrafficJunky says it was founded in 2008 in Montreal. Its terms, updated July 23, 2026, name the contracting party: Aylo Freesites Ltd., registered in Nicosia, Cyprus. Aylo is the former MindGeek, renamed in August 2023 after Ethical Capital Partners (ECP) bought it that March.

You buy the group's own tube sites: Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8, plus run-of-network groups for PC and mobile. The FAQ mentions "niche platforms," but the networks page names none, so plan on the 4 brands; Shorties, the vertical video feed, is Pornhub mobile only. Buying from the owner removes the reseller chain. The price: a single company runs the auction, writes the creative rules and reviews your ads, and anyone banned from any Aylo site can't open an account.

Scale is where TJ's own pages disagree. The June 2026 media kit says 127M+ daily average visitors, a blog post edited in September 2026 says 133 million daily users and 6.5 billion daily impressions, and an undated statistics page still shows 150 million and 4.6 billion. Plan on the dated media kit. It also puts mobile at 87% of traffic (Android 60.5%, iOS 28.7%), so build for phones first.

Onboarding and money: verification, TrafficJunky minimum deposit, refunds and VAT

Sign-up is free and needs no card, only your details and a box confirming you are 18 or older. The gate comes before the money: "you must complete ID or Company verification before you can start adding funds," says the FAQ. TJ's onboarding post names Yoti as the vendor; the check needs biometric consent, usually takes about 10 minutes and allows 3 tries before a 24-hour wait. Teams should verify the company: the rules allow a single active account per member, and an account tied to a buyer's passport leaves with that buyer.

TrafficJunky advertiser sign-up page headed Sign up now to start advertising across our premium network of sites, with a Get started in minutes form for first name, last name, email, country, password and an optional Telegram field, a How did you hear about us row that includes an AI Tool option, checkboxes for electronic communications, the Terms and Privacy Policy and I confirm that I'm 18 years of age or older, buttons to continue with LinkedIn, Google or PayPal, and a footer with the Aylo Freesites Ltd. address in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The TrafficJunky minimum deposit depends on the page you read. TJ's June, August and October 2026 posts say $100, while a post first published in August 2025 and edited on September 22, 2026 still lists $25 for Paxum, $250 for crypto and $1,000 for wire. The pages differ and the dashboard decides, so check the funding screen for your method.

TrafficJunky blog section Standard Campaign Costs for Pornhub Ads: testing budget $800–$3,000 per month, scaling stage $3,000–$50,000+ per month, recommended minimum per campaign $500–$1,500, typical CPMs $0.50–$4.00 depending on geo, placement, time of day and competition, and minimum deposit required to run a single ad on TrafficJunky $100.

The June post matters more for what follows the deposit: typical CPMs of $0.50–$4.00, a testing budget of $800–$3,000 a month and $500–$1,500 per campaign. So $100 opens the account; it doesn't buy a test. The default minimum daily budget is $25, and funding runs through Paxum, wire (2–5 business days), crypto, SEPA and, since September 2026, Pix for advertisers in Brazil.

Refunds deserve a slow read. The terms grant them "solely at our discretion," never for transactions older than 12 months or unspent balances under $50, and the FAQ excludes purchased traffic, bonus funds and accounts distributing malware. After 6 months without a login, the account goes "Inactive" but keeps spending while funds remain.
Top up for the next 1–2 weeks of spend, not the quarter: money you can't withdraw is the network's money with your name on it.

TJ is registered in Cyprus, so VAT applies to individuals in the EU, Ukraine, the UK and Cyprus, and to companies there without a valid VAT number; impressions delivered in Washington State carry local taxes.

How buying works: CPM auction, Smart CPM, Bidder and Autopilot

TrafficJunky is self-serve, prepaid and CPM only: "TrafficJunky does not offer CPC," says the FAQ. Every page load runs an auction where the highest bid isn't the only factor; campaign eligibility, available inventory and budget pacing count too. The rules treat several campaigns on the same targets as a single campaign, so cloning won't win a spot, and bots that change bids are banned.

Smart CPM, the default, adjusts your bid "as per market value" in 2 modes: Balanced, built on historical winning bids, and Top Bid, which "matches or places you just above the highest competing manual bid." Bidder works toward a target CPA under your max bid, Autopilot favors your best ads and needs a conversion tracker, and Rules cut sources that don't convert.

Each tool has a price. Smart CPM hands price discovery to the seller, and Top Bid pays at or just above the best manual bid. Bidder and Autopilot only learn from conversions, so they come after your postback works. Start a source on manual bids, then move sources with conversion data to Bidder. Expect no insertion orders, flat-rate deals only for proven product owners, and review times quoted anywhere from "up to 3 hours" to "within 24 hours," with pauses possible without prior notice.

Targeting and tracking: 30 GEOs, keywords, postback and ACLID

Targeting is the strongest part of the product. A campaign can include or exclude up to 30 countries, regions and cities (TJ's October 2026 posts cap cities at 10), then narrow by device, OS, browser and language, ISP or carrier, connection type, IP range, zip code (US, Canada, Japan), gender, schedule and frequency cap. Keyword targeting reads video tags and searches, the tube-specific lever: a search shows intent no GEO setting will. Segments and retargeting by pixel or click round it out.

Tracking is the standard stack: HTML pixel, S2S postback or Google Tag Manager. The FAQ calls ACLID, TJ's click ID, "the most important parameter": TJ adds it to every click, and your postback has to send it back with each conversion. The working URL comes from the Postback URL tab of the conversion tracker you create in the dashboard; the FAQ shows its template:

http://ads.trafficjunky.net/tj_ads_pt?a=XXXXXXXXX&member_id=YYYYYY&cb=&cti=[TRANSACTION_UNIQ_ID]&ctv=[VALUE_OF_THE_TRANSACTION]&ctd=[TRANSACTION_DESCRIPTION]&aclid=[ACLID]

cti, ctv and ctd carry the transaction ID, value and description. Tokens in the ad's target URL include {CampaignID}, {AdID}, {SiteName}, {BanID}, {SourceName}, {Location} and {BidValue}. TJ's guide lists Voluum, RedTrack, Binom, BeMob and CPV Lab as popular trackers, and an API is documented. Pass {SiteName}, {SourceName} and {BidValue} to your tracker to cut results by site, source and price.

Plan around 2 limits. Stats can take up to 1 hour to refresh, so a rule reacting to the last 15 minutes acts on old data. And the terms bar buyers from collecting user personal data for "retargeting users or constructing profiles of users" outside TJ's tools: your audiences live in TJ's pixel, not in your database.

What you can advertise on TrafficJunky: the format-by-vertical matrix

TJ's ad-formats page lists the verticals each placement accepts, and it rules out more than the rules page does. Interstitial and full-page interstitial, both mobile placements, are the wide door: 12 categories each, every vertical in the table below included. The other formats narrow fast:

Popunder, open to all advertisers, takes only Apps/Games, Cams, Casino/Sports Betting and VPN, plus e-Commerce on desktop and Cannabis/CBD on mobile: no dating, nutra, crypto or forex. Native takes only Adult Games, Adult VOD and Cams.

The written rules are short. Pharma banners may use branded drug names only with "Generic" or a phrase like "Just like" the brand, and the landing page must say "Consult your doctor." Gambling and cannabis advertisers carry "sole responsibility" for local law. The rules page has no separate section for crypto, forex or nutra, so the general rules apply: the ad must relate to the landing page, no fake close buttons, an opt-out for extra subscription offers and 2257 compliance.

The popunder ban list removes a large part of a mainstream pop playbook: malvertising, scareware, fear-based ads, exit pops, timed redirects, antivirus, back-button hijacks, unauthorized Pornhub branding, sweepstakes, auto-downloads, auto-playing sound and vibrations. Breaking it can mean a pause without notice and "freezing of all funds in the account." Network-wide, TJ also bans political ads, tobacco, ad blockers, unaffiliated tube sites and deepfakes made without consent.

The age-verification factor: why your TrafficJunky GEOs depend on the law

Inventory on TrafficJunky is now shaped by law as much as by bids. The rules, updated July 23, 2026, say some sites, placements and jurisdictions run "on a safe-for-work (SFW) basis," including those with age-verification laws, and TJ may designate any of them SFW "at any time in its sole discretion."

TrafficJunky Rules and Regulations, section Safe-for-Work Placements and Age-Verification Jurisdictions: certain publisher sites, placements and jurisdictions operate or are required to operate on a safe-for-work basis, including those with age-verification or age-restricted content access requirements, and TrafficJunky may designate any of them as SFW at any time in its sole discretion; ads there must not contain nudity, sexually explicit imagery or other adult content; adult content may only follow on a landing page with a compliant age-verification process; and non-compliant ads or campaigns may be rejected, paused or removed without prior notice and without refund.
In SFW placements, ads may show no nudity or explicit imagery, and adult content may appear only on a landing page that runs compliant age verification. Non-compliant ads can be removed "without prior notice and without refund," and the terms make you "solely responsible" for age verification on every landing page, in every jurisdiction where the ad runs.

In May 2026 TJ opened SFW campaigns and sources: set Content Rating to SFW and only SFW creatives are eligible. The launch post names the US, Canada, Australia and France.

The supply side moved too. Aylo closed Pornhub, YouPorn and RedTube to new UK users on February 2, 2026, while age-verified accounts kept access. On May 5, 2026 it let back iOS users age-confirmed through Apple's UK process, and on September 23 it answered an Ofcom letter about an investigation under the Online Safety Act. TJ publishes no UK volume, but the buyable UK audience is now existing verified accounts plus Apple-verified phones.

Aylo newsroom statement dated Nicosia, Cyprus, January 27, 2026: effective February 2, 2026 Aylo will no longer participate in the system created in the United Kingdom by the Online Safety Act; new users in the UK will no longer be able to access Aylo's content sharing platforms, including Pornhub, YouPorn and Redtube, while UK users who have verified their age keep access through their existing accounts.

Australia went the same way. On October 6, 2026 Aylo restored Pornhub access there for adults age-confirmed through Apple's Australian process, and TJ already lists Australia as an SFW geo, so plan explicit Australian reach as Apple-verified iOS users and the rest as SFW.

Aylo suspended access in France on June 4, 2025, and TJ's May 2026 post lists France among its SFW geos, so plan French traffic as SFW. In the US, the Supreme Court upheld Texas's age-verification law HB 1181 in Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton on June 27, 2025. Aylo's 2025 fact sheet calls blocking "a form of compliance" and cites the government-approved LA Wallet in Louisiana. Rather than plan from a list of states, test what serves state by state.

TJ's undated statistics page still says "over 75%" of visitors come from tier 1 countries in North America and Europe. In 2026 that label covers 2 products: the classic adult audience with explicit creatives in open markets, and SFW placements in regulated ones, where the ad has to sell without the content and your landing page has to gate it.

Who TrafficJunky is for

TrafficJunky fits teams with cam, adult game, adult VOD, dating, AI companion or sexual-wellness offers, mobile-first creatives, their own tracker and a budget near TJ's suggested test range. iGaming and VPN teams get popunders and mobile video on adult inventory, in markets where their offers are legal. It fits badly for CPC buyers, pop playbooks built on sweepstakes or antivirus, anyone hoping $100 is a test, and offers that only convert with explicit creatives in the UK, France or age-verification states.

Checklist: what to do

Questions about TrafficJunky

Is TrafficJunky legit?

Yes. TrafficJunky is Aylo's advertising network, selling ads on Aylo's own Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube and Tube8, with Aylo Freesites Ltd. in Cyprus as the contracting party. The risk sits in its published terms: refunds are discretionary, and rule breaches can mean pauses or frozen funds.

What is the TrafficJunky minimum deposit?

The TrafficJunky minimum deposit is $100 in TJ's June, August and October 2026 posts. A post edited in September 2026 still lists $25 for Paxum, $250 for crypto and $1,000 for wire, so check the funding screen. TJ's own guidance puts a test at $800–$3,000 a month.

Does TrafficJunky offer CPC?

No. The FAQ states "TrafficJunky does not offer CPC." Buying is a CPM auction, with Smart CPM, Bidder for a target CPA and Autopilot as optional automation.

What can I advertise on TrafficJunky?

Adult games and VOD, cams, dating, casino and betting, cannabis/CBD, crypto, forex, nutra, VPN, apps and e-commerce, but each format has its own list. Popunders exclude dating, nutra, crypto and forex, native takes only adult games, adult VOD and cams, and pharma ads need "Generic" on the banner and "Consult your doctor" on the landing page.

How does age verification affect TrafficJunky traffic?

In jurisdictions with age-verification laws, TJ's rules allow only safe-for-work ads, and adult content must sit behind an age-verified landing page. Aylo has kept the UK closed to new users since February 2, 2026, apart from Apple-verified iOS users, and on October 6, 2026 reopened Pornhub in Australia to the same group, so explicit inventory in regulated markets is smaller than the headline numbers suggest.

Our verdict on TrafficJunky

Buy TrafficJunky as a CPM-literate team with an adult, cam or dating offer, a tracker and a test budget near the $800–$3,000 TJ itself suggests, starting where explicit creatives are still allowed. Keep the balance short, and run every regulated GEO as a separate SFW campaign with its own age-gated landing page.

TrafficJunky is what it says it is: the owner's own ad desk for Pornhub and its sister sites, with deep targeting, a full tracking stack and automation that pays off once your postback works. The criticism belongs to the terms, not the traffic. It's CPM only, money goes in after an ID check and comes back at TJ's discretion, popunders are closed to the verticals many pop buyers live on, and age-verification law has turned part of the Tier 1 audience into SFW inventory. Even TJ's own pages can't agree on how big it is.

My verdict: buy TrafficJunky as a CPM-literate team with an adult, cam or dating offer, a tracker and a test budget near the $800–$3,000 TJ itself suggests, starting where explicit creatives are still allowed. Keep the balance short, and run every regulated GEO as a separate SFW campaign with its own age-gated landing page.
