Proxy

An IP address you route a browser profile through, so a platform sees a user in the right country on a normal connection. Residential and mobile proxies look like real people; data-center IPs are flagged. Bought per IP, per GB or per port.

Also called: residential proxy, mobile proxy, IP.

Each ad account should live on its own clean IP in its GEO. Mobile proxies (a SIM in a modem) are the most trusted because carriers share IPs among thousands of users; residential proxies come from home connections; data-center proxies are cheap and detected.

Proxies are also what cloaking filters check: traffic from data centers and VPNs is sent to the safe page.
