About Octo Browser

Octo Browser is an antidetect browser run by BLACKBIRD SECURE BROWSING LTD, a UK company with a London address. It runs on Octium, the company's own kernel built on Chromium; the company states that fingerprint management is implemented in that kernel and that it updates Octium as quickly as possible after each Chromium release. The Octium changelog shows Chromium 153 on September 10, 154 on September 24 and 155 on October 8, 2026.

There is no free plan; new users can try Starter for 2 days with the code TRIAL. Lite costs 10 EUR a month for 3 profiles, Starter 29 EUR for 10 profiles, Base 79 EUR for 100 profiles with API access, Team 169 EUR for 350 profiles with 3 members plus the owner and Advanced 329 EUR for 1,200 profiles with 8 members plus the owner; Custom plans are on request. Paying for 3, 6 or 12 months cuts the price by 10%, 20% or 30%, so Base costs 56 EUR a month on annual billing. Extra profiles and team members are bought in tokens inside the client, and the balance is topped up by card or crypto.

Desktop apps run on Windows, macOS and Linux. The iOS app, in the App Store since May 2026, and the Android app keep their own mobile profiles on the phone, while desktop profiles stay on desktop. The API covers profiles, proxies and teams and connects Playwright, Puppeteer and Selenium over CDP. Teams get per-member access rights to folders, profiles, templates, tags and proxies, and every plan has an action log. Octo's referral program pays 15% of referred users' payments for 360 days after they sign up.

Octo Browser Review 2026: Kernel Speed, Fingerprints, Pricing and Scaling Limits

Octo Browser ships new Chromium about 2 days after Chrome: Octium 156 came out on October 22, 2026. You get an API from 79 EUR, teams from 169 EUR and mobile apps, but no free plan, no no-code tools and only 50 API requests a minute on Base.

Octo Browser sells one thing harder than anyone else: a kernel that keeps up with Chrome. Its changelog shows Octium, Octo's Chromium build, arriving about 2 days after each Chrome release, and on October 22, 2026 it shipped version 156 two days after Chrome did. You pay for that in euros and in missing extras: there's no free plan, no no-code automation, and the API on the 100-profile plan is limited to 50 requests a minute.

This review is built on what Octo publishes: its pricing page, Octium changelog, documentation and the App Store listing, all checked on October 22, 2026. For how Octo compares with Dolphin, AdsPower, GoLogin and Linken Sphere on the same facts, see Antidetect Browsers for Media Buyers 2026: Real Differences.

What is Octo Browser, and who makes it?

An antidetect browser built on its own Chromium kernel, Octium. It's run by BLACKBIRD SECURE BROWSING LTD, a UK company with a London address. Octo runs on Windows 10 and 11 and Windows Server, macOS 13 and later including Apple Silicon, and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 and later, CentOS Stream 9, Arch and Kali), with separate apps for iOS and Android.

The company's pitch is the kernel. In its own words: "Octo Browser's fingerprint management is implemented in its Chromium-based kernel, which protects your device from additional spoofing checks." Each profile gets its own fingerprint, proxy and cookies, and the app also sells residential and mobile proxies with UDP support through a built-in Proxy Shop.

How fast does Octo follow Chrome?

About 2 days, and it's the most transparent about it. Octo keeps a dated Octium changelog on its docs site. Here's 2026 against Chrome's stable releases:

  • 151. Chrome stable: July 28. Octium: July 30. Days behind Chrome: 2.
  • 152. Chrome stable: August 25. Octium: August 31. Days behind Chrome: 6.
  • 153. Chrome stable: September 8. Octium: September 10. Days behind Chrome: 2.
  • 154. Chrome stable: September 22. Octium: September 24. Days behind Chrome: 2.
  • 155. Chrome stable: October 6. Octium: October 8. Days behind Chrome: 2.
  • 156. Chrome stable: October 20. Octium: October 22. Days behind Chrome: 2.
Octo Browser docs, Octium Changelog on October 22, 2026: "Octium update to version 156 - 22.10.2026, browser kernel updated to Chromium 156"; version 155 on 08.10.2026; version 154 on 24.09.2026; version 153 on 10.09.2026.

That matches the promise on the home page: "We update our Octium browser kernel as quickly as possible, so that no one notices any difference between Octo and Chrome sessions." Among the antidetects we checked, only Kameleo was as fast in October 2026. Since Chrome now ships every 2 weeks, a 2-day gap means your profiles almost always claim the current Chrome.

How good are Octo's fingerprints?

Octo says they come from real devices. The fingerprint page promises "an unlimited number of browser fingerprints of real devices" and more than 50 parameters you can configure, including Android profiles for "browsing on a smartphone or tablet." It doesn't publish more about the method than "kernel-level."

What outside sources say. Fingerprint, a company that sells device identification to websites, lists OctoBrowser among its examples of antidetect browsers in the description of its detection signal. In Browser Polygraph, an academic study presented at IMC 2024 and run on a financial company's traffic, the detector caught 84% of sessions from Octo Browser 1.10, a version from years ago. Neither tells you how today's Octium does. Both remind you that detectors study the popular tools first, and a fresh kernel doesn't save a profile with mismatched time zone, fonts or proxy.

Mobile: Android profiles and phone apps

On desktop, Octo creates profiles with Android fingerprints. That's been in the app since version 2.7 in September 2025.

The phone apps are separate products. The iOS app has been in the App Store since May 11, 2026 (version 1.5.4 on October 15, rated 3.7 from 21 ratings), and there's an Android app on Google Play. They keep their own mobile profiles: Octo's iOS announcement says "desktop profiles are only available in the desktop browser version, while iOS profiles are available only in the mobile app." During open testing new users get 100 mobile profiles for free. Octo has no cloud phones.

Automation: API and its limits

The API starts on Base, and the limits are tight at the bottom. Base allows 50 requests a minute and 500 an hour, Team 100 and 1,500, Advanced 200 and 3,000, with more on request. Lite and Starter have no API at all. That's far below Dolphin's 1,500 a minute or AdsPower's 300 on its cheapest paid plan.

What the API covers is solid: profiles, proxies, tags and folders, import and export, team management, one-time profiles, and launching profiles for Playwright, Puppeteer, Pyppeteer and Selenium over CDP. What's missing: we found no no-code builder, no synchronizer and no MCP support in Octo's docs. If you work by hand on many accounts, you'll miss Dolphin's scenarios or AdsPower's RPA.

Team work: tokens, seats and the action log

Teams start on the Team plan. Lite, Starter and Base are owner-only. Team includes 3 members plus the owner and lets you add up to 3 more; Advanced includes 8 plus the owner with no cap. An extra member costs 25 tokens a month on Team and 20 on Advanced, and Octo's referral docs state that "1 token equals 1 Euro."

Access rights are fine-grained: per folder, profile, template, tag and proxy. Every plan, including Lite, has an action log where the owner sees what happened, and the API offers an audit stream. Profile transfer to other users starts on Base.

In money: 3 people on about 100 profiles means the Team plan, 169 EUR a month with 350 profiles. That's the price of a team at Octo; at AdsPower the same 3 people on 100 profiles cost $46, at Dolphin $109.

There's no free plan. New users can try Starter for 2 days with the code TRIAL, once. The phone apps are free during open testing. Sign up through our link and choose a plan in the client.

You pay in tokens. The balance is topped up in the client by invoice, with a minimum of 7 tokens, by bank card or in crypto: BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT (ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20), USDC (ERC-20), TRX, BCH, SOL and GRAM. Subscriptions, extra profiles and team members are then paid from that balance.

If you want to refer people yourself, Octo's referral program pays 15% of each payment your referred users make for 360 days after they register. Each payment is reviewed for 14 days, and you can withdraw from 10 tokens to your own Octo balance or from 100 tokens to a USDT or USDC wallet.

Octo vs Dolphin{anty} is kernel speed against workflow. Octo ships new Chromium 4 to 7 days sooner and keeps a dated changelog on its site; Dolphin gives you no-code scenarios, a synchronizer and a 30 times higher API limit for a similar price at 100 profiles. Our Dolphin{anty} review goes into its workflow.

Octo vs GoLogin is quality against price. GoLogin costs half as much at 100 profiles and has a refund window, but its Orbita kernel ran about 5 weeks behind Chrome this year. See our GoLogin review.

Octo vs Multilogin is the premium pair. Multilogin sells 100 profiles with unlimited seats for $40 and adds cloud Android phones on real devices; Octo keeps the faster, better documented kernel and finer access rights per member.

Checklist: what to do

Questions about Octo Browser

Is Octo Browser free?

No. There's no free plan, only a 2-day trial of Starter with the code TRIAL for new users. The iOS and Android apps are free during open testing and give new users 100 mobile profiles.

How much does Octo Browser cost?

Lite costs 10 EUR a month for 3 profiles, Starter 29 EUR for 10, Base 79 EUR for 100, Team 169 EUR for 350 with 3 members plus the owner and Advanced 329 EUR for 1,200. Paying for 3, 6 or 12 months takes 10%, 20% or 30% off, so Base costs 56 EUR a month on annual billing.

How often does Octo update its Chromium kernel?

About every 2 weeks, following Chrome. In 2026 Octium shipped each Chromium version 2 to 6 days after Chrome, and Octium 156 came out on October 22, 2026, 2 days after Chrome 156.

Does Octo Browser have an API?

Yes, from the Base plan: 50 requests a minute on Base, 100 on Team and 200 on Advanced. It works with Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium and CDP. Lite and Starter have no API.

Does Octo Browser have mobile apps?

Yes, for iOS 17 and later and for Android. They keep their own mobile profiles, separate from the desktop app. On desktop you can also create profiles with Android fingerprints.

Octo Browser or Dolphin{anty}: which is better?

Octo has the faster kernel updates and finer team permissions; Dolphin has no-code scenarios, a synchronizer and a much higher API limit at a similar price for 100 profiles. Pick Octo if kernel freshness matters most, Dolphin if your work is manual farming at scale.

Our verdict on Octo Browser

Recommended for teams that run expensive accounts and want the freshest kernel on the market, if they can do without a free plan and no-code tools.

Octo Browser does the core job better than most: its Octium kernel follows Chrome by about 2 days, the changelog is public and dated, and team permissions go down to single folders and proxies. The price of that focus is everything around it. There's no free plan, no scenario builder or synchronizer, the API on Base is capped at 50 requests a minute, and a team starts at 169 EUR a month.

My advice: run the 2-day trial with your real proxies, and if kernel freshness is what you lost accounts over, Octo is worth the euros. If you mostly need cheap profiles or no-code automation, Dolphin, AdsPower or GoLogin fit better. And if you automate heavily, check the API limits for your plan before you commit.
