PSP
Payment service provider: the company that processes deposits and withdrawals for a casino, by card, e-wallet, bank transfer or local method. If deposits fail in a GEO, registrations don't become FTDs and your numbers drop.
Also called: payment service provider, payment provider, payment processor.
Operators connect several PSPs and route each payment by GEO, method and risk. Banks treat gambling as a high-risk category: card transactions carry a dedicated merchant category code, and some issuers decline them by policy, while some countries restrict them by law. Great Britain has banned gambling on credit cards since April 2020. In each GEO, the methods that work and the share of deposit attempts that succeed decide how many registrations become paying players.
This is where FTD numbers move without any change in your traffic. A casino loses a PSP in a GEO, a local method goes down for a week, a bank tightens its filters, and your registration-to-FTD ratio falls while you hunt for the problem in your creatives. Withdrawals matter too: slow or refused payouts push players away, and on RevShare that is your income leaving.
Ask the manager which deposit methods work in your GEO today, whether failed deposit attempts show in your reports, and to warn you when the payment setup changes. A strong offer with a weak local cashier converts worse than its payout suggests.
