2 smiling colleagues on a flat emerald green background: a curly-haired man in a grey sweatshirt holds up a card with the Dolphin{anty} logo and a red toolbox, a woman with a platinum pixie cut in a navy blazer and an aliencpa T-shirt holds up a card with the Octo Browser logo and a stopwatch, with floating tiles for a gear, a calendar, a team, a shield, a padlock and a lightning bolt.

Dolphin{anty} and Octo Browser are the 2 antidetect browsers media buyers compare most often, and for 100 profiles they cost almost the same: $89 and 79 EUR a month. The difference is in what you get for it. Octo puts everything into its kernel and team control: Octium 156 came out on October 22, 2026, 2 days after Chrome, and every plan logs what each person did. Dolphin follows Chrome in about a week, but gives you no-code scenarios, a cookie robot, a synchronizer, a free plan and an API 30 times as generous at the entry level.

I've used Dolphin{anty} in my own work; for Octo this comparison is built on what the company publishes. Everything below was checked on October 22 and 23, 2026: pricing pages, refund terms, documentation, Octo's Octium changelog and Dolphin's official Telegram channel. For the full picture, read our Dolphin{anty} review and Octo Browser review.

Kernel: 2 days against about a week

Octo is among the fastest on the market. Its dated Octium changelog shows every Chromium version since July arriving 2 days after Chrome, except 152 at 6 days. Dolphin posts every Chromium update in its Telegram channel; in 2026 it shipped each version 6 to 9 days after Chrome, which is better than most of the market but a step behind Octo.

  • 151. Chrome stable: July 28. Octo Octium: July 30, 2 days. Dolphin{anty}: August 6, 9 days.
  • 152. Chrome stable: August 25. Octo Octium: August 31, 6 days. Dolphin{anty}: September 1, 7 days.
  • 153. Chrome stable: September 8. Octo Octium: September 10, 2 days. Dolphin{anty}: September 17, 9 days.
  • 154. Chrome stable: September 22. Octo Octium: September 24, 2 days. Dolphin{anty}: September 29, 7 days.
  • 155. Chrome stable: October 6. Octo Octium: October 8, 2 days. Dolphin{anty}: October 12, 6 days.
  • 156. Chrome stable: October 20. Octo Octium: October 22, 2 days. Dolphin{anty}: not yet on October 23.
Octo Browser docs, Octium Changelog on October 22, 2026: "Octium update to version 156 - 22.10.2026, browser kernel updated to Chromium 156"; version 155 on 08.10.2026; version 154 on 24.09.2026; version 153 on 10.09.2026.

What it means. Chrome now ships every 2 weeks. Octo's profiles claim the current Chrome almost all the time; Dolphin's claim the previous version for about a week after each Chrome release. For most accounts that week doesn't matter; for accounts that cost a lot to lose, Octo's pace is the safer bet.

Neither details its spoofing method, and detectors know both: Fingerprint, a company that sells device identification to websites, names both DolphinAnty and OctoBrowser among its examples of antidetect browsers. A fresh kernel doesn't save a profile with a mismatched time zone, fonts or proxy.

Price: close for one person, different for teams

Monthly prices, with yearly billing in brackets:

  • Entry. Dolphin{anty}: $10 for 20 ($6). Octo Browser: 10 EUR for 3, 29 EUR for 10 (21 EUR).
  • 100. Dolphin{anty}: $89 ($53). Octo Browser: 79 EUR (56 EUR).
  • About 300. Dolphin{anty}: $159 for 300 ($95). Octo Browser: 169 EUR for 350 (119 EUR).
  • About 1,000. Dolphin{anty}: $299 for 1,000 ($179). Octo Browser: 329 EUR for 1,200 (231 EUR).

For one person they're level, and Dolphin's $10 plan for 20 profiles is the cheaper way in, with the API and scenarios included. Watch one rule at Dolphin: on Base, Team and Enterprise "additional profiles cannot be purchased," so 120 profiles means jumping from $89 to $159. Octo sells extra profiles in packs from the balance.

For teams, it depends on the size:

  • 3 people on about 100 profiles: $109 at Dolphin (Base plus 2 users at $10), 169 EUR at Octo, because its Base, Starter and Lite are owner-only and the team starts on Team.
  • 5 people on about 300 profiles: $239 at Dolphin (Team plus 4 users at $20), 194 EUR at Octo (Team with 3 members plus the owner, plus 1 member at 25 tokens).
  • 10 people on about 300 profiles: $339 at Dolphin, 349 EUR at Octo, which needs Advanced because Team stops at 6 members plus the owner.

So Dolphin is cheaper for small teams and Octo for mid-size ones; at 10 people they meet again. Octo bills in tokens it equates to euros, Dolphin in dollars.

Automation and API: Dolphin's home ground

Dolphin is built for farming routines. From the $10 Starter plan you get a no-code scenario builder for warm-up and data collection, a cookie robot that visits sites to build up a profile's cookies, and a synchronizer that repeats one profile's actions in others, still marked beta. Octo has none of these; it expects you to automate through its API.

The API gap is large. Dolphin's remote and local API allow 1,500 requests a minute from Starter. Octo's starts on Base at 79 EUR with 50 requests a minute and 500 an hour, rising to 100 on Team and 200 on Advanced. Both connect Playwright, Puppeteer and Selenium. Dolphin has published a guide to driving profiles with an AI agent over MCP; Octo offers one-time profiles and an audit stream through its API.

One date to note: Dolphin said the old endpoint for the profile list will be switched off on November 1, 2026, so scripts that still use it need to move to the new one.

Teams and control: Octo's home ground

Octo gives finer control. Access rights go down to each folder, profile, template, tag and proxy, every plan, including Lite, has an action log the owner can read, and the API offers an audit stream. Profile transfer to other users starts on Base.

Dolphin covers the essentials for shared ad accounts: roles such as admin and team lead, shared folders with view, edit and manage rights, sharing of profiles, proxies and cookies, and profile transfer. Its October 12 update added a "Running" status that shows who launched a shared profile and on which device, with a remote force-stop for admins from Base, because, as Dolphin puts it, simultaneous sessions "can conflict, leading to repeated login requests or even ad account bans."

If you need to prove who did what, Octo's log on every plan is the stronger tool. If you need to stop teammates from colliding in the same account, Dolphin's "Running" status does exactly that.

Mobile, platforms and trying them out

Mobile is Octo's. It creates profiles with Android fingerprints on desktop, and its iOS and Android apps run mobile profiles on a real phone, free during open testing. Dolphin marks mobile fingerprints as "soon" and has no app or cloud phones. For mobile app accounts, neither rents cloud phones.

Both run on Windows, macOS and Linux. Octo also supports Windows Server and several Linux distributions.

Trying them is easier at Dolphin. Its free plan has 3 profiles with no time limit, though without the API or scenarios. Octo has no free plan, only a 2-day Starter trial with the code TRIAL, once.

Refunds favor Octo, barely. Octo refunds within 5 days of the first payment: in full only if you haven't created profiles, otherwise partly, and never for renewals. We found no refund terms on Dolphin's pricing page or in its docs.

Which one should you choose?

By situation:

  • Expensive accounts, kernel freshness first — Octo Browser. 2 days behind Chrome against about a week.
  • Farming and warm-up by hand or without code — Dolphin{anty}. Scenarios, cookie robot and synchronizer from $10.
  • Heavy scripting through the API — Dolphin{anty}. 1,500 requests a minute from $10 against 50 from 79 EUR.
  • Team of 2 to 3 on a budget — Dolphin{anty}. $109 against 169 EUR.
  • Team of 4 to 7 that needs an audit trail — Octo Browser. Action log on every plan, cheaper at 5 people.
  • Mobile profiles on your own phone — Octo Browser. iOS and Android apps.
  • You want to start free — Dolphin{anty}. 3 profiles, no time limit.

You can also split the work: run warm-up and volume in Dolphin, and move the accounts that matter most to Octo once they're ready. If you do, keep each account in one browser; moving a profile between vendors means a new fingerprint.

Checklist: what to do

Questions and answers

Is Dolphin{anty} or Octo Browser better?

For farming and automation, Dolphin{anty}: no-code scenarios, a cookie robot, a synchronizer and a 1,500-request API from $10. For kernel freshness, team control and mobile, Octo Browser: Chromium about 2 days after Chrome, an action log on every plan and phone apps.

Which has the newer Chrome kernel?

Octo Browser. Octium 156 came out on October 22, 2026, 2 days after Chrome 156. Dolphin{anty} was on Chromium 155 from October 12 and usually ships each version 6 to 9 days after Chrome.

Can I get a refund from Dolphin{anty} or Octo Browser?

Author’s conclusion

Dolphin{anty} for buyers who farm and automate, Octo Browser for buyers who protect expensive accounts and need to see who did what.

At 100 profiles the price doesn't decide this. Dolphin gives you more tools for the money: scenarios, a cookie robot, a synchronizer, a free plan and an API that doesn't choke, with a kernel about a week behind Chrome. Octo gives you the freshest kernel we've tracked, rights down to each profile and an action log on every plan, plus mobile apps, but no no-code tools and a tight API.

My advice: if your days are spent warming up and running batches of accounts, start with Dolphin's free plan and move to Starter or Base. If you run a small team on valuable accounts and want to know who touched what, take Octo's 2-day trial and price the Team plan.
