Media buying team

A company of media buyers running paid traffic at scale: buyers, a team lead, designers, a tech person for landers and cloaking, a farmer for accounts, and often its own apps and account shops.

Also called: arbitrage team, buying team.

A team pools budget, accounts and know-how. Buyers run campaigns; a team lead allocates offers and GEOs; designers turn out creatives; a technical specialist handles trackers, landers and cloaking; a farmer keeps the supply of ad accounts going. Larger teams add HR, finance and their own products: app rental, account shops, proxies.

Teams live on a few verticals, most often iGaming, nutra and finance, and negotiate private payouts with networks on the strength of their volume. The catalog of agencies on this site lists teams alongside the agencies that serve advertisers.
