Affiliate network
A platform that connects advertisers with affiliates: it hosts offers, tracks clicks and conversions, holds and checks leads, and pays out. Many run their own call centers and in-house media buying.
Also called: affiliate program, partner program.
For an affiliate, the network is the counterparty: it approves your account, opens offers to you, shows your statistics, decides which leads are valid and sends the money. A good manager at the network is worth a lot: caps, payout bumps and private offers go through them.
An affiliate program is the same thing run by one advertiser for its own product, without a marketplace of other offers. The two words are used loosely; in CIS slang both are simply the partnerka.
Before running traffic, check three things: payout terms and hold, how leads are validated, and what other affiliates say about payments.
Related terms: CPA network, Direct advertiser, Hold, Approval rate, Affiliate manager.
