Agency account
An ad account run through an agency that works directly with a platform such as Meta, Google or TikTok. It brings agency-level support, billing through the agency and a manager who can take a moderation question to the platform.
Also called: agency ad account, agency-level account.
Platforms run partner programs for agencies, such as Meta Business Partners and Google Partners, and give them a channel to platform staff. For an affiliate, the value is a person who can explain to moderation what your tracking link or landing page does and get a wrong rejection in front of someone. The agency takes a fee or a share of spend, and the account still has to follow every policy.
The term is also used for something else: accounts that resellers rent out to media buyers, marketed on higher limits and trust. Renting one breaks Meta's terms, which bar giving others access to your account or transferring it without permission, and if the account is banned, the balance and the funnel go with it. A real agency signs a contract with you and grants access through the platform's own business tools.
