Glossary
Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3
Groups of countries by purchasing power and ad cost. Tier-1: the US, Canada, Western Europe, Australia. Tier-2: Eastern Europe, Latin America, parts of Asia. Tier-3: the rest. Higher tiers pay more per lead and cost more per click.
Also called: GEO tiers, T1, T2, T3.
The tiers are a rough map of where money is. In Tier-1 people pay by card, payouts are high and clicks are expensive; ad platforms are strict. Tier-2 is the middle: decent payouts, cheaper traffic, cash on delivery in many countries. Tier-3 is cheap traffic and small payouts, where volume and approval rates decide.
Lists differ by network; a country's tier also depends on the vertical. Brazil is Tier-2 for nutra and close to Tier-1 for iGaming.
