First-time deposit

A player's first real-money deposit at a casino or sportsbook: the event most iGaming CPA deals pay for, once it meets the qualification rules. Qualified usually means minimum amount met, identity verified, right GEO, no duplicate account.

Also called: FTD, first deposit, qualified FTD, QFTD.

A registration costs the player nothing; a deposit means real money went in, so programs pay on it. But a CPA is usually not triggered by just any first deposit. The deal sets a baseline: a minimum deposit, sometimes a cumulative amount within a set number of days, sometimes wagering on top. A player who deposits $10 against a $20 baseline is an FTD in your stats and $0 in your payout.

Then come the checks. Many operators count the deposit only after the player passes KYC, so players who never upload documents drop out weeks later. Duplicates, players outside the agreed GEOs, self-referrals and bonus abusers are rejected, and a chargeback can reverse a CPA after it was approved. Most of this happens during the hold.

Ask the manager for the qualification rules in writing: baseline, time window, KYC, wagering, rejection reasons and how disputes are handled. Then compare FTDs with qualified FTDs in your reports every week. A gap that widens while your traffic stays the same is a question for the manager, with sub IDs attached.
