Smartlink
One link that sends each visitor to the best-paying offer for their GEO, device, carrier and time, chosen automatically by the network. No testing, no targeting: all the traffic goes to one URL. The way to monetize mixed and remnant traffic.
Also called: smart link, rotator link.
The network's algorithm knows which offers convert for which users and routes each click accordingly: a sweepstake for a US desktop user, a pin submit for an Indonesian phone, dating for a night-time click. The affiliate gets an average payout that is usually below what a targeted campaign on the best offer would make, and above what untargeted traffic would.
Smartlinks are the standard tool for pop, redirect and leftover traffic, and a way to test a new source before picking offers by hand.
