Grey offer
An offer that is legal but breaks the ad platforms' rules: nutra with medical claims, iGaming where it is not licensed, crypto, adult dating, some finance. Runs on cloaking and farmed accounts, or on networks that allow it.
Also called: grey-hat offer.
Grey is most of affiliate media buying. The product is sold openly, but Meta or Google will not show the ad, so buyers either go to sources that accept it (push, native, pops, teaser networks) or get it through review with clean creatives, pre-landers and cloaking.
The cost of grey is accounts, bans and cloaking tools; the reward is payouts that white offers never reach.
