Tracking link

Any link that records a click before sending the visitor on: a network's affiliate link, or a campaign URL on your own tracker. It logs the source, device and click ID, then redirects to the page or offer.

Also called: tracking URL, click URL, campaign URL, offer link.

In a tracker like Keitaro or Binom, every placement gets its own campaign URL with parameters filled by the source's macros: zone, creative, campaign ID. The tracker reads them, assigns a click ID, applies its routing rules and sends the visitor to a lander or straight to the offer, passing the click ID along so the network's postback can bring it back.

It is a redirect, and redirects are what platforms and blockers watch. Google Ads rejects a tracking link on another domain as the final URL, Meta treats automatic redirects to a substantially different domain as deceptive, and filter lists used by ad blockers carry rules against the click domains of major networks. Test every link in a clean browser and again with an ad blocker on before the money goes in.
