Push notifications
Short messages delivered to a phone or desktop by a site the user once allowed, with an icon, a title and one line of text. Sold as ad traffic by push networks per click; converts on sweepstakes, dating, finance, iGaming and nutra.
Also called: push ads, push traffic, web push.
Push ads look like system notifications and arrive whether or not the user is on a site, which makes the click cheap and the audience broad. The creative is tiny: a 192×192 icon, a 30-character title, a line of text. Push networks sell the clicks by auction with GEO, device and hour targeting.
Subscribers age: a base collected months ago clicks less. Fresh subscribers and the right sending hour are half the result; the other half is a landing page that loads on a cheap Android in a second.
In-page push is the same look shown inside a page, for iOS users who cannot receive real web push.
