Glossary
iGaming app
A mobile app, often a thin wrapper around a casino site, used as the landing page for iGaming campaigns on app-install traffic. Rented from app services or built in-house; a core tool of Meta and UAC gambling traffic.
Also called: gambling app, PWA, webview app.
Advertising a casino directly on Meta or Google is mostly impossible, so buyers advertise an app instead. The app passes store review as something innocuous, then shows the casino to users from the targeted GEO. Traffic is bought with app-install objectives, which are cheap and well optimized.
Apps get banned from the stores, so they are rented by the day from app services or made in bulk. PWAs (progressive web apps) are the store-free alternative: a site that installs like an app from the browser.
Deposits from app users are tracked through the app's events back to the tracker and the network.
