Install offers

Offers paid for installing software or an app: the user downloads, installs and opens, and the affiliate is paid. Mobile apps, browser extensions, utilities, VPNs. Easy to convert, easy to fake, judged by what happens after the install.

Also called: installs, app installs, CPI offers.

Install offers are the entry level of mobile affiliate marketing: the action is small and the traffic is everywhere. Payouts range from cents for a game in Tier-3 to tens of dollars for a finance app in Tier-1.

The advertiser sees every install's later behaviour through its attribution partner. Installs from incentive traffic, bots or the wrong GEO get the affiliate blocked. Some offers pay only for installs followed by an event: a registration, a purchase, a day-7 return.
