iFrame
An HTML element that shows another page inside yours. Affiliates use iframes to show an offer page under their own domain, or to load a tracking pixel. Some networks forbid iframed traffic.
Also called: frame.
An iframe keeps the visitor on your domain while displaying the advertiser's page, which is useful for keeping your pixel and your analytics on the visit. It also hides where the traffic came from, so many advertisers ban it and count iframed conversions as fraud.
The same element is behind a lot of old-school clickjacking and cookie stuffing, which is why it has a bad name in network rules.
