Rebill
A repeat charge on a customer's card or phone bill after the first purchase: the next month of a subscription, the next delivery of a trial product. Offers built on rebills pay the affiliate more for customers who stay and claw back when they cancel or charge back.
Also called: recurring billing, subscription rebill.
Subscription products, trials and carrier-billing offers earn on the second payment, not the first. Some pay the affiliate a share of every rebill; others pay a bigger upfront rate and deduct chargebacks.
Rebills are legitimate with clear terms and a working cancellation, and the grey and black versions hide them, which is what regulators and card networks chase.
