Content locker
A script that hides a page, a file or a video until the visitor completes an action: fills a form, installs an app, submits a phone number. The action is a CPA offer; the locker is the monetization.
Also called: locker, link locker.
Lockers are the classic way to monetize content people want: a cheat, a file, a stream. The visitor sees the content behind a wall, picks an offer from the list, completes it and the wall opens. The affiliate is paid for the completed offer.
They live in incentive traffic, which many advertisers exclude, so lockers are run on offers that accept it: surveys, installs, pin submits.
