Traffic

Visitors sent to a page or an app. In affiliate marketing traffic is counted in clicks, described by its source, GEO and device, and valued by how well it converts.

Traffic is people arriving at a landing page or an offer. The word covers both the visitors and the flow they form: a media buyer speaks of buying traffic, running traffic to an offer, or the quality of traffic from a placement.

Traffic is described by where it comes from (the source and placement), where the people are (GEO), what they use (device and OS), what they were shown (the creative) and what they do next (conversion rate). Two clicks that cost the same can be worth very different amounts to an advertiser.
